The Real Estate profession is a service that co-exists firstly with responsibilities and obligations, and then with rights.  Since 1987 the Republic of Cyprus defined the Real Estates law 66/87 which has as its’ base the protection and security of the buyer. The real estate agent has every obligation to inform the potential buyer of all the various elements related to the physical condition of the real estate, of the existence of any type of burden on the real estate or any prohibitions which influence the principal of the real estate as well as any other restrictions imposed on the real estate by legal, managerial or governmental decisions. The real estate agents responsibilities and obligations on any exchange are infinite. Their duty is to inform the public in a just and honest manner. To breach any of the terms means being immediately deprived of your professional license and a payment of indemnity is made to the directly affected person, since the agent has to insured with a recognize Insurance agency.
